NIGHTHAWKS is a rug design inspired by the painting, ‘Nighthawks’ (1942) by Edward Hopper. The painting was analyzed in various ways - through understanding color composition, lighting choices, and overall mood.

A tangible deconstruction of the Nighthawks painting with grouping based on color.
The deconstruction was then scanned and filled in using large blocks of color in Photoshop.
