‘LINDSEY ADAMS’
The Knockoff Show at Colony

‘LINDSEY ADAMS’ is a lighting fixture that was designed for the Colony Gallery’s Knockoff Show in New York City. This project was made under the direction of Bec Brittain Lighting Studio in Queens.
Colony’s Knockoff show was a response to how often designer’s work is wrongfully taken and manufactured without their consent or proper royalties. Bec Brittain Studio’s response to the brief was a piece that combined elements of of SHY fixture with elements of her past mentor’s, Lindsey Adelman, work on the Branching Bubble that she also worked on in her formative years. In this project, I worked to assist with design and creative direction, which included choosing the globes, and the mechanical parts used to construct the piece. I took the primary lead on sourcing parts, getting parts finished, developing ideas in Solidworks, Keyshot, and Photoshop. I also assisted in the contruction of the pieces.
